    Job Description:

    As a CAD Drafter/Programmer at Artec Industries, you will collaborate closely with the Vice President of Product Development. Your role will involve creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, crafting installation instructions and prototype designs, and contributing to product development and manufacturing. Key responsibilities include:

    • Developing 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks, including bills of materials, instructional drawings, and prototypes.
    • Organizing and maintaining CAD files and documentation for streamlined project management.
    • Preparing precise shop drawings for manufacturing, ensuring adherence to internal and external production specifications.
    • Conducting thorough reviews of drawings and models to identify potential errors before production.
    • Collaborating with the Project Management team to coordinate production schedules.
    • Utilizing CAM software for product programming, with a focus on laser and press brake equipment.
    • Participating in the implementation of an ERP system within the engineering department.
    • Supporting the marketing and sales teams by generating 3D product renderings.
    • Willingness to work overtime to meet project deadlines and undertake additional duties as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • At least 2 years of relevant experience; a degree in Drafting, CAD, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SolidWorks.
    • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
    • Capacity to meet deadlines efficiently.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Expertise in interpreting engineering drawings and design specifications.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, SolidWorks, and industry-specific software.
    • Understanding of steel fabrication procedures and detailing standards (GD&T).
    • Excellent communication skills for translating technical information into clear, concise drawings and instructions.
    • Interest or experience in the automotive and off-road industries is advantageous.
    • Experience with Bystronic machines and BySoft CAM software is a plus.
    • Problem-solving abilities, creativity, and a keenness for learning.
    • Experience in CNC detailing, programming, and operation is beneficial.

    Location: North Salt Lake City, Utah

    Salary: Hourly $20-$30
