    DESCRIPTION

    Artec Industries 14 bolt Pinion Guard is designed to keep your vulnerable pinion out of the rocks and in one piece. CNC cut from 3/8" thick mild steel, this guard is meant to take the worst you and the rocks can dish out.
     
    Included bridge to connect to your Artec 14 bolt truss. Bridge is CNC cut and formed from 1/4" thick mild steel and adds rigidity to your existing truss. With minor modifications, the bridge allows the Artec 14 bolt truss to still be "clockable" while installing. Bridge bolts on to pinion guard and welds to truss.

    There are 2 options for this item, the "High" - PG1402 and the "Low" - PG1403. The High version is compatible with the TR1402 and TR1405 Rear Trusses and the Low version is compatible with the TR1401 and TR1406 Rear Trusses.         **See inset image above for detail of different options**
     

    Includes 3/8" grade 8 hardware. Requires welding from a competant welder.

    NOTE: TRIMMING ON THE BRIDGE MAY BE NECESSARY DEPENDING ON THE PINION ANGLE YOU CHOOSE FOR THE TRUSS AND WHAT TRUSS YOU USE.

    Warning: Installing this product requires Welding and Fabrication skills, If youare not confident in your abilities to complete this task please have thisinstalled at an qualified off-road shop .

     

    Step 1.

    Inventory all parts to ensure you have all of the correctpieces. If youare missing parts or the package is damaged Contact Artec Industries Immediately at (855) 278-3299  M-F 8:30-5pm MST If outside of those hoursEmail us at Sales@Artecindustries.com (Please include picture of part numberlabel on box as well as your invoice number Also keep the box and take picturesof the box per shipping carrier for a damage claim otherwise it could be denied)

     

    Step 2.

    Slip the PG1401-1 plate into the key ways on PG14xx-2  and tack weld into place

     

    Step 3.

    Using the 4 supplied bolts bolt the PG14xx-3 onto the PG14xx-2

     

    Step 4.

    Test fit the Pinion guard on the axle  Depending on your pinion angle you may needto trim the PG14xx-3 bracket . Using a marker mark the top of the PG14xx-3   remove the pinion guard from the axle andtrim were needed .  Prep the truss forwelding by removing any paint, rust, or grime.    

     

    Step 5.

    Fully weld the PG14xx-1 & PG14xx-2 together  ,  Nowweld the PG14xx-3 to the truss.

     

    Step 6.

    Paint all bare surfaces .
